Important Info

All of our products are hand-painted by skilled artisans in Mexico, making each piece truly one of a kind. Because of this, there may be small imperfections, quirks, or slight color variations—these are natural and a beautiful part of the artistry. Rest assured, we carefully inspect every item to ensure there are no chips or cracks before shipping. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept these characteristics as part of handmade craftsmanship. Thank you.

How It’s Made (Baked Clay)

Our sculpted clay pieces are made in central Mexico, including Mexico City and surrounding areas, where working with clay has been part of daily life for centuries.

Long before the arrival of Spanish influence, Indigenous communities across central Mexico were shaping clay by hand to create vessels, figures, and everyday objects. These techniques were passed down through generations and are still practiced today, preserving a direct connection to those early traditions.

Artisans form, carve, and refine each detail, allowing the final shape to develop naturally. Because of this, no two pieces come out exactly the same—you may notice slight variations in form or texture, which are part of the process.

Depending on the style, pieces may be left in their natural finish or lightly detailed, allowing the warmth and character of the clay itself to stand out.

In many ways, this is one of the oldest forms of Mexican craftsmanship still in practice today.
